A Day at the Beach in Capitola

Since moving to California, we haven’t spent too many days at the beach, our weekends have been full of hiking and other adventures. With the bugs being too brutal to survive a night in the mountains, we decided to trade our boots for flip flops and set up camp on a patch of sand. We’d heard about the cute little town of Capitola, so we plugged that in to Google maps and headed west. We took our time, arriving around lunch, thinking we were giving the marine layer time to burn off, but it was one of those days where the fog lasts all day long. The upside was that we stayed cool on an otherwise hot day!
