Hiking in the High Sierras- Bishop Pass Trail to Chocolate Lake

Our second day hike on our trip to the Mammoth area was Bishop Pass Trail. Located in Inyo National Forest, this trail offers a true experience in the high Sierras. The trail head starts just under 10,000 feet and climbs to almost 12,000 feet. This is a long and challenging hike, but the rewards of the views are worth the effort. This is one of my favorite hikes we’ve done in California.
