Late Season Fall Colors with the Lensbaby Velvet 28

Much like my delay in sharing these, fall lingered in the Seattle area much longer than expected. On one beautiful, sunny evening, I set out to down to Kirkland’s Heritage Hall and gardens with the Lensbaby Velvet 28.

While the Velvet 28 is often known for it’s diffused glow when used wide open at f2.5, I have learned that I prefer to use the lens stopped down slightly to allow for image sharpness, superb color rendering, and a slight edge glow. The Velvet 28 also offers a brilliant lens flare that brings beautiful light to images directed into the sun.

These images were created using my Sony a7riii and Lensbaby Velvet 28. Visit Lensbaby and use promo code wCarr for 10% off your purchase.
