Sunset in Santa Cruz | Northern California Landscape Photography

Santa Cruz Surfing Museum

Santa Cruz Surfing Museum

Santa Cruz is just a short drive from us in Palo Alto and makes for a fun day trip. After soaking up the sun in a beach chair most of the afternoon, we went over to the Santa Cruz Surfing Museum to watch the sunset. The museum sits high up on a cliff at the famous surf spot Steamer Lane and offers a great view of the surrounding beach, cove, and the boardwalk.

With the clear blue skies, the sunset wasn’t as epic as I had hoped, but there was plenty of visual interest to keep my attention!
