I had marked the date on the calendar months ago.  It's infrequent that the sunset lines up with the Frisco shoreline.  I was hopeful for a spectacular one, but you never know what winter will bring to Hatteras Island.  When we stepped on the beach and saw the kitesurfers, I knew it was perfect.  There could be no better way to photograph a windy sunset in the Outer Banks.
