The only way out is through.

I've been leaning into this mantra, pulling against my feet buried in the mud and muck of the last few years.

In disaster recovery we call it Mucking and Gutting. It's the first step to rebuilding. Leaving behind the opportunity for a fresh start despite the scarred walls and the blown off roof.

The only thing left has to be hope.
