Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve, San Mateo County, California
One of the things that surprised us most in our move to California were the hills surrounding Silicon Valley. We knew we’d have reasonable access to the beaches and be closer to the mountains, but we never imagined the incredible natural areas that we’d find just 15 minutes down the road. This weekend we took a drive down Alpine Road and were gifted to some pretty breathtaking views of the Russian Ridge Open Space Preserve.
