Happy Clam Shack: Mount Desert Island’s Colorful Welcome Sign

2018.07.25 Acadia National Park Maine © Jennifer Carr Photography-88.jpg

The Happy Clam Shack sits right at the entrance to Mount Desert Island, beckoning visitors with it’s brightly colored decor and promise of fresh seafood. But I will confess that what drew us in was the sign advertising fresh blueberry pie. While I would have loved to grab all the fixings for a lobster boil, our cottage forbid the cooking of seafood, so we made do with pasta and warm blueberry pie.
