Acadia National Park and the Waterfall that Wasn't

I was looking forward to hiking to Hadlock Falls. I cheered on the group as we laced up our boots and set out on the trail. I can’t remember why our group split up, but after being separated, we ended up in different directions looking for the falls. Little did we realize, not only were we lost from each other, but the falls we were seeking were completely dry. Not a drop of water trickled down under the carriage bridge. Thankfully the group enjoyed stretching our legs and when we found our way back together, we happily set off to Bar Harbor in search of lobster rolls.
