The Quiet Side of Coastal Maine at Southwest Harbor

If I had to chose a favorite thing about my photography trip to coastal Maine, it would have to be the incredible variety of boats that we saw. Growing up, I was always exposed to boats from ski boats to catamarans to little blow up boats we’d paddle down the river. Maine offered boats of all shapes, sizes, and specialties. Some were beautifully maintained and clearly prized possessions while others withered in disrepair, decaying next to the docks. Each boat holds a story, a lifetime of memories under their hull.
